New Delhi: Within 2 weeks of its theatrical premiere, Premalu fame Mamitha Baiju and GV Prakash's political drama Rebel has started streaming on the OTT Platform from 6 April 2024 onward in Tamil and Telugu language. The movie is available for watching on Disney +Hotstar where viewers can enjoy it from the comfort of their homes. It may also be noted here that viewers will be required to have a subscription to the service of the digital platform to access the movie online. However, to the stakeholders' misfortune, the film's collection started to fall down rapidly right after its decent weekend run & it eventually nosedived at the Box Office in the coming week. The failure at the ticket windows also forced Rebel's makers to reschedule its OTT release date & they ended up making the film available on digital screens merely 14 days after its arrival in cinemas. Rebel Story Rebel tells the tale of a Munnar-based ambitious guy (GV Prakash Kumar) Kathiresan who arrives in Pallakad to better educate himself. There, he falls in love with a beautiful girl Sara Mary John (Mamitha Baiju) & kick starts his romantic life with her. However, the duo's love story gets disturbed when an intense fight between Tamilian & Malayali students erupts on the college campus, leaving their dreams of educating themselves hanging by a thread. What happens next & how the two manage to escape the hostile situation is the remaining story of the film.
