Storyline
In this real narrative, the astounding story of the National High School Basketball Championship in 2012 is recounted. During the championship, a new coach and six players from the team with the least amount of talented basketball players ran constantly for eight days.
After years of dismal performance, Jungang High School’s basketball team is in disarray and near collapse. Alumnus Kang Yang-Hyeon, who coached the U-16 boys’ national team, is named head coach, but several players leave because they don’t want to play for an unknown coach.
Even though most of the six players were turned down by other elite basketball teams, Coach Kang persuaded them to try out for the National Basketball Championships. The spirit of cooperation and not squandering any loose balls is what he strives to inculcate in them, as summed up by his motto, “There is no such thing as missed shots, only rebounds!”
