New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are celebrating their first marriage anniversary and a fun video about their plans for a destination wedding has surfaced on Reddit. The video takes a dig at Alia for criticising destination weddings while Neetu Kapoor revealed that Ranbir and Alia were looking to have their wedding in South Africa.
In an interview compilation shared by Bolly Blinds N Gossip on Reddit, one clip shows Alia criticising destination weddings as she said that idea of taking people to a destination and having a ‘big wedding’ was stressful for her. She added that Ranbir and her are not big celebratory people.

The other clip in the video shows Neetu Kapoor revealing that the couple was first deciding to get married in South Africa and were also ready to do the recce but ended up having a wedding on their terrace.
Meanwhile, Redditors were confused about why Alia bashed destination weddings when they were themselves thinking to have one. The answer is only with the actors and their families, and the truth is that they tied the knot in a closed private wedding at their Mumbai home Vastu on April 14 last year. The ceremony was attended by their close friends and family.
Celebrating the anniversary, Alia shared a post on her social media account with a caption saying, “happy day.” She shared a picture from their wedding, another one from the time when Ranbir proposed to her and an intimate monochrome picture with her husband.
