Resident Alien OTT Release: Get ready to welcome your favorite extraterrestrial doctor back to Earth. The much-anticipated fourth season of Resident Alien is officially set to land on screens soon, bringing with it more laughs, mystery, and interstellar complications.
After the dramatic events of Season 3, fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Harry Vanderspeigle — the alien who crash-landed on Earth and accidentally became a small-town physician — and now the wait is finally over.
Plot
After crash-landing on Earth during a covert intergalactic mission, an alien finds himself stranded in the remote town of Patience, Colorado. With no way to complete his original directive immediately, he takes on the identity of Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle, a reclusive physician whose untimely death provides the perfect cover. At first, Harry’s life on Earth is meant to be temporary and strictly observational — blend in, complete the mission, and leave.
However, Harry’s plan begins to unravel when he’s unexpectedly asked to assist in solving a local murder. Lacking both medical training and an understanding of human social norms, he bumbles through his new role, often with hilarious and awkward results. Still, his alien intelligence allows him to adapt quickly — and ironically, he becomes a surprisingly effective doctor.
As the days pass, what began as a mere disguise becomes something more complex. To survive — and to avoid suspicion — Harry must learn how to mimic human behavior, from casual small talk to eating habits, even attempting the local custom of folding pizza slices. But the more he immerses himself in the daily lives of the people around him, the more he begins to experience unexpected, very human emotions: curiosity, compassion, attachment, and even guilt.
Harry soon finds himself caught between two worlds. On one hand, he has a mission to complete — a dark purpose that could mean the end for humanity. On the other, he starts building unlikely friendships, forming attachments to the very beings he was meant to eliminate. His growing empathy creates a moral crisis that he cannot ignore.
