New Delhi: Jitah Ramesh and Aju Pandya’s much-hyped Tamil flick Route No. 17 made it to the cinemas back in December 2023. Despite offering a deep dive into the enthralling realm of suspense and mystery to horror movie enthusiasts, the film received an ordinary reception from the cine-goers & ended its BO journey without achieving anything remarkable.
Meanwhile, after over a month and a half since its theatrical release, the makers of Route No. 17 have made some major announcements regarding the horror thriller’s OTT release.

Unveiling Route No 17’s official digital platform, the film’s lead actor Jitah Ramesh took to his official Instagram handle and confirmed that the movie is coming soon on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
Although the actor refrained from disclosing the release date of the movie, it is almost certain that Route No.17 will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on or around 16 March 2024. However, it is important to note here that a subscription to the platform’s service will be needed to watch the movie.

Filled with several exciting and bone-chilling twists & turns, Route No. 17 takes its viewers on an unforgettable journey through an eerie closed-off path that goes across the cursed Sathyamangalam forest which has remained sealed for the last 3 decades for mystifying reasons.
The movie’s story, which unfolds in two separate periods (1990 & 2020) tells the vengeful tale of daring trespassers who take the unholy Route No. 17 and face a mysterious fate scarier than their worst nightmares.

Helmed by skilled directed Abhilash G Devan, Route No. 17 features an ensemble cast of talented actors including Jithan Ramesh, Anju Pandia, Hareesh Peradi, Frolic George, Akhil Prabhakar, Anusree Pothan, Nihal Amar and more. It is produced by Dr.Amar Ramachandran and was released under the banner of Neni Entertainments Private Limited.
