New Delhi: Last week, after the Delhi government ordered to shut down cinema halls, spas, and gyms amidst the spike in COVID-19 cases, many films including Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’ delayed its release.
It was speculated till now that the makers of ‘RRR’, have decided to stick to its release date amid the health scare.
Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh even confirmed the speculations by sharing the news on his Twitter handle, writing, “#Xclusiv… BREAKING NEWS… ‘RRR’ VERY MUCH ON 7 JAN 2022… SS RAJAMOULI OFFICIAL STATEMENT TO ME… No postponement. #SSRajamouli #JrNTR #RamCharan #RRR #RRRMovie #RRRPreReleaseEvent #RoarOfRRRInKerala.”

However, the recent news reports suggests that the much awaited film which was slated to be released on January 7 has once again been postponed.
Though the makers haven’t made an official announcement yet, this postpone will allow other big budget movie to release on the eve of Makar Sankranthi.
Meanwhile, Prabhas’ most anticipated film ‘Radhye Shyam’ is reportedly to be postponed from its scheduled release date of January 14 due to only 50% occupancy in northern parts of the country as well as over 150 theatres going through a complete shut down in Andhra Pradesh.
Also, if ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ happens to release on Sankranthi, the two are suppose to witness a clash with ‘Bheemla Nayak’ featuring Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles.
