RRR set to cross Rs 1,000 crore mark, becomes 3rd highest grossing Indian film globally

With such mammoth collections, the movie is set to become the third highest grossing movie of all time. Other two movies, whose lifetime figures crossed lifetime collections are ahead of RRR include Secret Superstar and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

New Delhi: SS Rajamouli directorial, RRR is having a dream run at the Box Office and is non-stoppable as cinema fans are thronging the theatres in hordes, not just in India but also in multiplexes abroad.

The movie has earned a whopping Rs 969 crore globally and is surging towards Rs 1,000 mark. The movie has completed Day 15 of its release and is already declared a superhit movie at the Box Office.

The movie, showcasing action packed performances by Ram Charan & Jr NTR, hit the theatres on March 24 in multiple languages and has been getting stunning response from the audience, right from the first week.

Cash registers are ringing and the movie has been smashing BO records, one after another. It has turned out to be a runaway success with brilliant depiction of characters in the movie.

On its opening day alone, the RRR garnered Rs 257 crore worldwide and kept its steady growth despite facing stiff competition from The Kashmir Files.

As per upresults.org, the flick is likely to earn about Rs 7 crore. On 14th day, it earned about Rs 15.25 crore.

According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the movie incurred a cost of Rs 450 crore and is on way to cross Rs 1,000 crore mark. With such mammoth collections, the movie is set to become the third highest grossing movie of all time. Other two movies, whose lifetime figures crossed lifetime collections are ahead of RRR include Secret Superstar and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Both had life time collections of 966.86 cr and 969.06 cr respectively.

The movie directed by SS Rajamouli is a period fiction film and it revolves around two freedom fighters namely Bheem and Ram. Bheem is a member of the Gond community who fights against Britishers to save her sister while Ram’s character is about an officer in English regiment.
