Sadak 2 trailer dislikes

Apart from the dislikes, the trailer of Sadak 2 has received backlashes on the internet, amid the ongoing nepotism and harbouring a culture of favouritism in the film industry. After the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, many of his fans have been actively campaigning on social media to boycott the films featuring star kids.

Sadak 2, a sequel to his 1991 film starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja, will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28. The film was intended for a theatrical release, but producer Mukesh Bhatt said that they were forced to take the streaming route after the coronavirus pandemic shut down several industries, including film.

Sadak 2′ has been drawing ire on social media since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14. The insider vs outsider debate reignited on social media with Sushan’s death. A section of the internet also believes that he was a victim of “Bollywoood’s nepotistic attitude towards outsiders” as the actor allegedly lost seven films earlier.

Nepometer

Sushant’s brother-in-law had also launched an app named Nepometer to track nepotism in Bollywood. The first film to have been measured in the app was ‘Sadak 2’ and Nepometer found it to be 98% nepotistic.

The film was rated on the basis of five categories – producer, lead artists, supporting artists, director & writer. “Four out of five categories have Bollywood family members,” the team said in an Instagram post. Soon, there was a call to boycott the film.
