‘Salaar’ box office prediction day 1: Prabhas-starrer likely to earn Rs 95 crore, beating SRK-starrer ‘Dunki’

Salaar is projected to have a spectacular start at the Indian box office and may make about Rs 95.00 crore net in India on its first day and for all languages.

New Delhi: Friday, December 22nd saw the release of Salaar: Ceasefire – Part 1, the highly awaited action thriller starring Prabhas. The anticipation is very high, and early reviews are predicting a massive opening-day haul at the box office.

‘Dunki,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, had a successful global debut on December 21 and is now preparing to face off against the Prabhas-starrer at the box office.

According to Sacnilk, a film industry tracker, the high-budget action picture Salaar is projected to have a spectacular start at the Indian box office and may make about Rs 95.00 crore net in India on its first day and for all languages.

In the meanwhile, Dunki had a successful opening day at the box office, bringing in a total of 30 crore rupees on its first day of release. After Jawan and Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan released Dunki, making it his third film to be released in 2023.

The Prabhas-starrer has already achieved a first-day advance booking of Rs 48.94 crore, according to Sacnilk report.

As a result of Prabhas’ enormous fan base, the film is expected to have the most successful opening weekend of the year, according to the reports. This Friday, audiences purchased more than 22 lakh tickets, totalling 16,593 shows. Out of this total, Telugu performances alone contributed 17 lakh tickets with a total value of 38.25 crore rupees. In advance of the release of the film, more than two lakh tickets with a total value of 5.62 crore were sold for the Hindi version.

About the Film

Produced by Hombale Films, the film stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vardha and Deva, two friends who become the biggest rivals, in the made-up city of Khansaar.

Joining Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the leads of Salaar, there are Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and Tinnu Anand in the key roles.

With the support of Hombale Films, the picture is the first joint effort between KGF director Prashanth Neel and Baahubali actor Prabhas.

The five languages of Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi have all seen the release of Salaar.
