New Delhi: The first look from the much-anticipated film Salaar starring Prithviraj Sukumaran was revealed on the actor’s 41st birthday, today.
In the action movie, the actor plays the role of the film’s main villain. The movie, in which Prabhas plays the lead role of the protagonist, is scheduled to hit theatres on December 22, just in time for the Christmas vacation.
In the upcoming movie, which is an action-thriller, the actor will portray the role of Vardharaja Mannaar. Prabhas and Shruti Haasan will also play leading roles in the film.
In the meanwhile, the producers of the most anticipated movie of the year, Salaar, have released the actor’s debut poster to make his day even more momentous.

The whole Indian film industry is sending birthday greetings to Prithviraj Sukumaran, who turns 41 today. Salaar, directed by Prashant Neel and starring Prabhas, is one of his most anticipated projects and is set for release later this year.
Prithviraj is portraying the role of Varadharaja Mannaar, The King, and his appearance in this role is unlike any other persona that Prithviraj has ever been in. The overall colour tone and his attire follow the hue of black and grey, giving off the impression of a dark and chaotic appeal while maintaining a level-headed manner. It is possible to view Prithviraj sporting a regal appearance by accessorising with a nasal ring and a black tilak applied to his forehead.

About the film
Following the success of Adipurush, Prabhas’s fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of the violent man action thriller. The film’s September 28 release date had already been established. The film’s creators, however, postponed the event to focus on editing.
Hombale Films announced the revised release date for the film on September 29. The new date for its debut is December 22.

The upcoming film Salaar by Prashanth Neel will be released in two parts. Starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” is the first instalment. Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju also star in the film. Prabhas’s new collaboration includes directors Prashanth Neel and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
