Salaar OTT: Prabhas action drama to arrive on this digital platform after its box office run

New Delhi: After making his fans wait for quite a while, Pan-Indian superstar Prabhas’ has finally arrived on the big screens with his second film of the year Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire today

Despite clashing head-on with Shah Rukh Khan’s comedy-drama Dunki, the film has started its journey with a bang and is continuously receiving rave reviews from moviegoers & critics. The Prashanth Neil directorial is expected to get an Earth Shattering opening on day 1 with its collection going past Rs 95 crore at the domestic box office.

Considering the souring buzz around the Bahubali actor’s film, Salaar looks all set to enjoy a historic run at the Box office in the coming days, and the same is bound to delay the date of its release on the OTT platform.

However, as per a report published by OTTplay, the movie will be arriving on the digital platform Netflix post the end of its Box Office journey.

Set in the fictional town of Khansaar, Salaar’s story circles around the lives of two good friends Deva (Played by Prabhas) and Vradha (Played by Prithviraj Sukumaran), who are turned into each other’s bloodthirsty arch-rivals by unavoidable circumstances.

The movie is helmed by acclaimed director Prashanth Neil, who is renowned for his direction in super hit flicks like KGF and KGF 2. Besides Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaranj, the dystopian drama also features talented actors like Shruti Hassan, Saran Shakthi Easwari Rao Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Abhinay Raj Singh and Madhu Guruswamy in important roles.

Although its exact budget is unknown, it is believed that the Prabhas starrer has been made with a heavy budget of Rs 300-400 crore. The film was released in theaters on 22 December (Friday) under the banner of Homable Films.
