New Delhi: Bollywood’s Jawan Shah Rukh Khan turned a year old today.
On the cheerful occasion of his 58th birth anniversary, the superstar, who greets his fans from Mannat’s terese on his birthday, continued the tradition and addressed a huge ocean of his die-hard fans who gathered outside his sea-facing residence to catch a glimpse of the actor.
With that, Shah Rukh also treated his fans by releasing the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2023 Jawan on the leading digital platform Netflix. However, King’s biggest surprise to his fans came in the form of the first teaser of his third movie of the year Dunki.
The film is set to hit the big screens on 22 December where it will clash with Pan Indian superstar Prabhas’ upcoming Magnum opus Salaar: The Ceasefire Part 1.
The Superstar will arrive with Dunki after delivering two back-to-back massy blockbusters Pathan and Jawan in the same year. After both the films proved to be massive hits at the box office, fans are now expecting a hat-trick of blockbusters from Shah Rukh Khan with Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial.
Will Dunki make Salaar step back?
Soon after Dunki’s first teaser took social media by storm, an online war of words between Shah Rukh and Prabhas’ fans divided the internet.
The internet war even resulted in hashtags like #postponeSalaar trending on popular microblogging site Twitter (now X) as fans jumped in the support of their favorite actor and began suggesting that Prabhas should back down and postpone the release of his film in order to avoid clash with King Khan’s flick.
Sharing his thoughts on the same, one user on X wrote’ “I would like to make a humble request to the makers of to pack their bags and find a new date for the release of Salaar”

About Dunki
Dunki is Helmed by ace director Rajkumar Hirani who is renowned for his direction in Bollywood’s iconic hits like PK and Sanju.
The film is a social comedy-drama that centers around the topics of illegal immigration and a well-known technique used for it called “Dunki flight” (A way of making it into a particular country via several other countries)
In its star-studded cast, Dunki features iconic stars from Bollywood including Tapseee Pannu, Dia Mizra Boman Irani, and the one and only Shah Rukh Khan.
It is produced by Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri Khan who will release it under the banner of SRK’s production house Red Chilli Entertainment this Christmas season on 22 December.
