New Delhi: In Mumbai, a special screening of the upcoming film – Sam Bahadur took place on November 29. Sunny Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan were among the numerous Bollywood stars that showed up there. They subsequently posted reviews of the film on social media in anticipation of its December 01 theatrical release.
Vicky Kaushal’s brother Sunny Kaushal, reviewed Sam Bahadur in his Instagram story and raved about Vicky Kaushal’s great performance.
The main character of Sam Bahadur is General Sam Manekshaw, an officer in the Indian Army who oversaw the army’s staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. Vicky stars as Sam Manekshaw in the film directed by Meghna Gulzar.
In addition to Vicky, other notable actors in Sam Bahadur include Edward Sonnenblick, Saqib Ayub, Krishna Kant Singh Bundela, Richard Bhakti Klein, and Neeraj Kabi. Sanya Malhotra plays Sam’s romantic interest, while Fatima Sana Shaikh plays Indira Gandhi, the former prime minister of India.

Sunny Kaushal complimented Meghna Gulzar for creating the “remarkable” film Sam Bahadur and praised it in his story.
“What a film..what an amazing film this is..@rsvpmovies @meghnagulzar thank you so much for making Sam Bahadur.. it is truly remarkable how you have so beautifully managed to show the life, the character, the love this man had for his country and uniform in a span of 2.5 hours.. it made me laugh, cry, inspired and most importantly it made me realise what great courage and character means,” he wrote in his Instagram story.
Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s performances in the film are “fantastic,” according to Sunny Kaushal.
Bringing up his brother – Vicky, he went on to remark that he had outdone his performance.
“@vickykaushal09 Just when I think you’ve outdone yourself, you surprise me yet again..I know you manifested this film and now I can see why.. I think this film chose you..I don’t think anybody could’ve played Sam better…” he wrote.
Even Abhishek Bachchan attended it and said it was a great film. Using Twitter, he wrote, “Saw #SamBahadur last night. The enormity of all that #FieldMarshalSamManekshaw did and achieved is overwhelming! And so beautifully told on celluloid by my favourite @meghnagulzar…”
Abhishek went on to write a glowing review of Vicky Kaushal, “My veerey, @vickykaushal09, what do I even say about you… you continue to set the bar so high for all of us and then so effortlessly jump over it as only Sam can. All I can say is “Well done, sweety”!!!”
