New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu starred in a new advertisement for Pepsi Black and delivered a message, urging women to be themselves and ‘rise up’. The actor turned into a bride and an action star while the advertisement questions the societal notions of looking at a woman. Samantha and Pepsi have made their mark with the progressive advertisement.
In the video, she can be seen playing herself as she takes up different roles on different sets. As she dresses up as a bride, someone is shown taunting that women should marry at a certain age, while Samantha answers that a woman should not marry as per her age but as per her will. As she returns home late, the security guard is seen questioning her, to which she answers that her work is not even done by 12 midnight.

As she dresses up for an action sequence, her male co-actor is shown as an action hero, but it is Samantha who rises to the occasion and delivers a stunt.
Samantha, in real life, has faced trolling for her divorce and personal life, along with what she does professionally, but she has always answered people with her work that speaks for her. With Pepsi, the actor stood yet again to inspire many.
The video earned appreciation from the entertainment industry as her co-star Dev Mohan called it ‘wow’, rapper Epr Iyer wrote, “More power to you” and Sophie Choudry commented, “Go Sam.”
On the work front, Samantha was last seen in ‘Shaakuntalam’ along with Dev Mohan. She is currently working on the Indian adaptation of ‘Citadel’, directed by Raj and DK, and also stars Varun Dhawan.
