Sara Ali Khan reveals how she lied to her mom and took local train to visit Elphinstone Road

Recently, in an interaction, Sara has revealed how she lied to her mother, Amrita Singh about her vicinity and, further a journalist exposed all the truth.

New Delhi: Sara Ali Khan has been busy promoting her upcoming movie ‘Atrangi Re.’ The movie is directed by Aanand L Rai, and also features Dhanush and Akshay Kumar in the leads. Recently, in an interaction, Sara has revealed how she lied to her mother, Amrita Singh about her vicinity, and further, a journalist exposed all the truth.

The Kedarnath actress told Kapil Sharma, the comedian and host of the popular show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ that once she lied to her mother, saying that she was going to visit a neighbour’s house instead took a local train and visited Elphinstone Road.

Kapil Sharma joking asked her that what the reason was for her visit to Elphinstone Road. To which Sara winked and stated that she went to visit a friend there.

Further, Sara stated that when Amrita asked her where she was the previous day, Sara stuck to the same story. Little did she know that a journalist called her mother up and complimented her regarding the upbringing of Sara, and how she took the local train. The journalist even had a picture of her on the train.

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan, Aanand L Rai and Akshay Kumar appeared as guests in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’ During aninteraction, when Akshay was asked about his thoughts on the new age actors, he stated, “I think these guys are more prepared. When we entered the industry, we did not have so much preparation. We were learning with experience. We gained our experience by doing 60 to 70 films but, when the new actors entered the industry, they already had that kind of experience.”

Besides, he also praised Sara for her tremendous performance in ‘Atrangi Re’. Akshay praised Sara by saying, “Let me tell you, I have watched the movie. She has done such a fantastic job in the film. I was taken aback. The whole film belongs to her, then to Dhanush and then to me. She has performed so brilliantly.”

‘Atrangi Re’ will hit the screens on December 24. Sara will also feature with Vicky Kaushal in Laxman Utekar’s next movie. The duo will team up for Aditya Dhar’s ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama.’
