New Delhi: ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ actor Vaibhavi Upadhyaya died in car accident on Tuesday (May 23) in Himachal Pradesh. She was 32 years old.
She breathed her last in Himachal Pradesh’s Banjar area in Kullu district.
The tragic accident happened when she and her fiance who were travelling in a Fortuner, fell into a gorge.
The incident took place while she was traveling along with her fiance. Reports said that the actor was engaged to Jay Suresh Gandi.
Actor was known for playing the role of Jasmine in the TV show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. The news of her death was confirmed by the show’s producer, JD Majethia.
Vaibhavi Upadhyaya’s family will be bringing her mortal remains back to Mumbai.
According to reports, the last rites of the actor will be held today (May 24) at around 11 am.
The news about her death was confirmed by Producer-actor JD Majethia, on his Instagram stories.
She was popularly known as as ‘Jasmine’ of one of the most famous show- “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai”.
Soon after the news about her death broke on social media, condolences started to pour in for the late actor.

The popular actor was also seen alongside Deepika Padukone in 2020’s ‘Chhapaak’ film and ‘Timir’ (2023).
The news about Vaibhavi’s demise comes days after TV actor Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead in his Andheri, Mumbai apartment.
Vaibhavi was also part of shows like Adaalat and CID.
