The romantic drama Satyaprem Ki Katha has finally released on Thursday and minted a decent Box office collection on day one of its release. The film earned an amount of 9 crores on day one. The film was in the news from the day its trailer was released. It was stated that the numbers were decent despite the Eid holiday. Knowing how it will do on day 2 of its release would be interesting.
Although the movie has received positive word of mouth, it can be proven as a benefit to the film. According to rase analyst Sumit Kadel, the film has sold 51,500 tickets till Wednesday at 10 pm. The Sale was considered the good one. The opening day of the movie came out to be much lower than Kartik and Kiara’s previous Bhool Bhulaiyan 2 which had an opening of 14 crores on day 1, As compared to Kartik’s last theatrical release Shehzada, its still better which earned 6 crores and turned out to be a flop.
Before the film’s release, Kartik and Kiara went to Siddhivinayak Temple to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha, just as he does for his other films. Kartik shared the picture on his Instagram writing, ‘Overwhelmed with your pure love’.
The film introduces Kartik as Satya and Kiara as Katha and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film was earlier named Satyanarayan Ki Katha but was renamed to avoid controversy. The film has melodious songs like Naseeb se, Aaj Ke Baad, and Pasoori Nu and upbeat numbers like Sun Sajni.
