‘Selfiee’ Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi starrer flick’s disappointing performance continues

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Selfiee’ has been disastrous at the box office. After a poor start on Friday, the film could not do much on day 2 as well. After two days of run in cinemas, the film could gross only Rs 6.35 crore as Akshay’s poor run continues.

As per the trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film did a bit better on day 2 as compared to the opening day. ‘Selfiee’ earned Rs 3.80 crore on day 2 while it earned Rs 2.55 crore on Friday.

In primary cinema chains, the film earned Rs 1.83 crore on Saturday. The breakup is Rs 87 lakhs in PVR, Rs 60 lakhs in INOX, and Rs 36 lakhs in Cinepolis. On the other hand, the film grossed Rs 1.30 crore in national cinema chains on the opening day.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Shehzada’ has earned Rs 26.50 crore nett at the box office and Marvel Studios’ ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantamania’ had an average week with Rs 32 crore nett.

About the film

The remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driver License’, ‘Selfiee’ stars Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film revolves around Bollywood star Vijay Kumar, who needs to get a new driving license from RTO officer Om Prakash Agarwal, who is a fan of Vijay. A misunderstanding escalates into a clash between the two as it becomes a national issue in the media.
