‘Selfiee’ Trailer 2: Media takes centre stage as Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi clash against each other (WATCH)

New Delhi: Star Studios released the second trailer for Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer film ‘Selfiee’. The trailer dives into the plot of the film and shows the motivation behind RTO Inspector Om Prakash Agrawal’s action against actor Vijay Kumar. The new trailer also shows more action sequences and the clash between a superstar and a fan.

The trailer begins with Om Prakash, played by Emraan Hashmi, narrating that his motivation to clash with Vijay Kumar, played by Akshay, comes from the analogy of Ram and Ravan. The video shows Om Prakash stopping the actor for driving a car without a licence as the battle between the two begins and is dragged into the media. The trailer ends on a note where Vijay wants to tell his side of the story.

The film also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. ‘Selfiee’ is written by Rishhabh Sharrma and directed by Raj Mehta. The likes of Anu Malik, Tanishk Bagchi, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Azeem Dayani and THE PropheC have contributed to the film’s music.

The film also features Mahesh Thakur, Tisca Chopra, Fahim Fazli, Abhimanyu Singh and Kusha Kapila, and has Mrunal Thakur in a cameo appearance for a dance number.

‘Selfiee’, following a superstar’s quest to renew his driving licence with a fan standing in his way, is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving Licence’.

Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions and backed by Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames and Cape Of Good Films, ‘Selfiee’ is set to release in the cinemas on February 24.
