New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s movie, adapted from Kalidasa’s classic Sanskrit drama Abhijnana Shakuntalam, revolves around the epic love romance of Shakuntala and King Dushyant, played by Samantha and Dev Mohan, respectively. Gunasekhar (Rudhramadevi) wrote and directed the film, which is produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju under the banners of Gunna Teamworks and Dil Raju Productions, respectively.
Shaakuntalam, which was released on April 14, 2023, garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans, viewers, and critics alike.
