‘Shamshera’ OTT Release: Check when & where to watch Ranbir Kapoor’s adventure drama

The story of the film revolves around a warrior tribe who is imprisoned, enslaved & tortured by a ruthless authoritarian Shudh Singh.

New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’ is set to release on an OTT platform. After earning around Rs 42.5 crore at the box office, the film is set to entertain the viewers on the small screen. Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, ‘Shamshera’ is directed by Karan Malhotra, who has previously made ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Brothers’.

The story of the film revolves around a warrior tribe who is imprisoned, enslaved & tortured by a ruthless authoritarian Shudh Singh. Shamshera is a legend for his tribe who is determined to fight for his tribe’s freedom & dignity. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the titular role and Vaani Kapoor as Sona in the lead along with Sanjay Dutt, Ronit Roy and Saurabh Shukla.

The film is written by five writers, Khila Bisht and Neelesh Misra have written the story while director Karan Malhotra and Ekta Pathak Malhotra wrote the screenplay and Piyush Mishra wrote the dialogues for the film. The film’s music was composed by Mithoon and the song ‘Fitoor’ gained a lot of popularity among the masses. Anay Goswami, who  is known for his work in ‘Super 30’ and ‘Mom’, did the cinematography for the film.

The film is streaming on Amazon Prime Video from August 19 onwards. ‘Shamshera’ is available in three languages, namely, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Prime Video India made the announcement saying, “A larger than life cinematic wonder that’ll keep you on your toes throughout.”

The film is produced by Aditya Chopra and was released in theatres on July 22. Meanwhile, Ranbir will next be seen with Alia Bhatt in ‘Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva’.
