Shark Tank India 2: Namita Thapar leads investment race, check how much each shark has invested till now

The Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Namita Thapar is leading among the sharks with a total investment of Rs 10.25 crore.

New Delhi: Popular show Shark Tank India 2 has completed its five weeks on television and the love it gets and the ideas the sharks receive is just growing. The sharks have invested a total of Rs 42.93 crore in various startups and firms till now. The show features six sharks this season, including Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Anupam Mittal, Amit Jain, Peyush Bansal and Vineeta Singh.

Sony TV recently released the amount invested by each shark at the end of week 5. The Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Namita Thapar is leading among the sharks with a total investment of Rs 10.25 crore. While some people believed her image to be of someone restrictive or hesitant to invest in the last season, this time, she has surely changed it and has invested about one-fourth of the total amount. She also put in the third-highest highest total amount in Season 1 out of the seven sharks.

Namita Thapar is followed by Lenskart’s founder Peyush Bansal, who has invested Rs 8.86 crore. As per Sony TV, boAt’s Aman Gupta invested Rs 8.26 crore, Shaadi.com’s founder Anupam Mittal put in Rs 7.29 crore and Sugar Cosmetics’ Vineeta Singh’s investment stands at Rs 4.61 crore.

CEO and co-founder of Car Dekho, Amit Jain was a late entry to the show. He has invested a total amount of Rs 3.66 crore till now.

The show has made a lot of buzz around for the entrepreneurs bringing unique business ideas and sharks giving their interesting viewpoints on them. Shark Tank India 2 streams on Sony TV and Sony Liv.
