New Delhi: Mirabai Chanu got appreciation from all over the world when she won the gold medal in the Birmingham games. One such praise came from actor Chris Hemsworth who replied to a fan on Twitter and appreciated Chanu.
The incident happened when a reporter by the name of Saurabh Sinha commented on Mirabai Chanu’s post saying, “Time for Thor to give up his hammer.” He also tagged Hemsworth, who plays the character of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in the comment. The actor noticed it and replied, “She is worthy! Congrats, Saikhom, you legend.” Actually, the ‘worthy’ remark is a reference to the story of Thor in which someone can only lift his hammer, Mjolnir if one is worthy enough.
