New Delhi: Marking Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback after Zero, Pathaan was under a lot of scrutinies before its release. But that did not stop it from breaking all records and driving all SRK fans out of their houses to experience the action in the theatre. This successful streak has already made Pathaan the first Hindi film to cross 500 crores in India including many other feathers in its cap. To keep this craze around the film going the makers have decided to make this Friday the Pathaan Diwas offering tickets to the film at Rs. 110 only! While that works great for most who haven’t seen the film yet or want to rewatch it, the day is supposed to clash with Kartik Aryan’s big release “Shehzada”.

After his massive hit in Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Kartik has garnered his own loyal fan following that eagerly waits for this release. But the low prices offered for Pathaan might cause the box office numbers of Shehzada a little damage. Marvel Movies’ big release Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania also releases on the same day, the 17th of February and this too might weigh on the ability of the film to drive audiences to the theatre.

Though Kartik’s previous work has proved that he holds the ability to break through such challenges and emerge victorious, this double threat to the opening Friday of the film is definitely worrisome for the makers. Kriti Sanon’s presence in the film after her highly acclaimed performance in Mimi also helps the film’s clout. It will be intriguing to watch who rocks this Friday, will Pathaan continue its hit streak, or will Kartik’s Shehzada break through another Box Office challenge?
