New Delhi: Written and directed by Jagdeep Sandhu ‘Sher Bagga’ is a Punjabi comedy-drama. Jagdeep is known for directing popular Punjabi films like Qismat, Sufna, and Shadaa. ‘Sher Bagga’ was released in theatres on June 24.
The film stars actor-singer Ammy Virk and Punjabi star Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles. Along with them, the film features Rup Khatkar, Parvinder Nandhra, Sammy Jonas Heaney and Melissa Kibris. The film follows Shera (Ammy Virk), who on a journey to find the love of his life, meets Gulab (Sonam Bajwa). Both get along but Gulab ends up pregnant. She is unsure about bearing the child but Shera wants to keep it. The unlikely couple finds themselves in a tough situation, which eventually leads to comedy.
The film was made on an approximate budget of Rs 10 crore and it managed to collect around Rs 3 crore in the first week. Though, the numbers are not in the favour of the film, the audience going to watch the film in theatres gave a positive response. The film is expected to go well once it releases on an OTT platform.
When and where to watch?
The dates for the OTT release of the film are unknown as of now. But, according to PTC Punjabi’s report, the film is expected to release on Chaupal TV. The platform is known for being one of the biggest multi-regional OTT platforms and has a collection of lots of Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Hariyanvi films.
Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa have previously worked together in Puaada, Muklawa and the Nikka Zaildar franchise. This is their sixth film together and their chemistry is loved by the audience.
