New Delhi: Ileana D’Cruz may not be actively pursuing movie roles, but the actress has a sizable fan base on social media, where she regularly shares photographs and videos. The actress, who was recently seen in The Big Bull and had previously wowed audiences with her outstanding acting abilities in Barfi, Pokhiri, and Baadshaho, has apparently been barred from working in Tamil cinema.
According to multiple reports, the reported ban was enforced in response to a complaint made by a Tamil producer alleging that the actress took an advance amount for a movie but then missed participating in the rest of the movie. According to the reports, this resulted in substantial losses for the producers, as a result of which Ileana has been barred from appearing in Tamil films. But, neither the producer nor Ileana nor her team has given any formal word. In terms of Tamil films, Ileana appeared in the highly acclaimed Nanban in 2012, which received great reviews.
Ileana was diagnosed just one month earlier, and she released images from there, which frightened admirers. On her Instagram stories, she shared a collage of two photographs. An IV tube is seen hooked to her wrist in one of the photographs as she rests in the hospital bed. The second shot was most likely taken shortly after she had been discharged and came back home. “What a difference a day makes,” she captioned the collage. In addition, some wonderful doctors and three bags of IV fluid”.
For now, it is unclear what caused Ileana’s hospitalization, the diva disclosed in an interview earlier that she had suffered from a condition called body dysmorphic disorder since the age of 12.
Ileana D’Cruz was most recently seen in The Big Bull as Meera Rao. She is now working on Tera Kya Hoga Lovely and an untitled Shirsha Guha film. Ileana will make her web series debut soon. Applause Entertainment has booked the actress in a future online series.
