New Delhi: Bollywood’s renowned actor Shreyas Talpade collapsed to the ground after suffering a major heart attack shortly after concluding his shoot for Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Welcome To The Jungle on December 14.

The 47-year-old actor was rushed to the nearby Andheri hospital to the earliest where the doctor performed an angioplasty on him.

Although Shreyas’ family & relatives instructed the medical staff against revealing anything related to the actor’s medical conditions and ongoing treatment, his wife Deepti Talpade, in an official statement shared on Instagram, said that the actor is recovering fast while requesting the media to respect their privacy.

Her statement read “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming concern and well-wishes following the recent health scare my husband experienced. I’m relieved to update everyone that he is now in stable condition and will be discharged in a few days”

As mentioned in a recently published report by the Press Trust of India (PTI), Talpade, who was in his residence, complained about feeling uneasiness in and around his chest shortly before he collapsed after suffering a heart attack.

Later an official spoke about the actor’s health with the agency and informed that Shreyas underwent an angioplasty after he was taken to the hospital last week He said “He was brought to the hospital late last evening and an angioplasty was performed last night. He is fine. He is in the ICU.”

For the unversed, Shreyas is one of the most iconic names of the Indian film industry who has worked in both Hindi & Marathi cinema. Some of the actor’s much-celebrated work includes his role in super-hit Bollywood movies Golmaal, Iqbal, Dor, and Om Shanti Om.
