New Delhi: Coming soon to over-the-top streaming services – Singapore Saloon is a newly released Tamil film that stars actor-comedian-filmmaker RJ Balaji.
Singapore Saloon, which was directed by Gokul, has a stellar cast including Sathyaraj, Lal, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Kishen Das. Vels Film International is the production banner that is supporting the film.
On January 25, 2024, Singapore Saloon was released to theatres throughout the globe, and critics had different opinions about it. Less than four weeks after its launch at the box office, the picture will make its OTT debut, in keeping with current industry patterns.
Plot
An ambitious youth named Kathir is the protagonist of the Singapore Saloon. After graduating from engineering college, Kathir rejects a job offer he received during an interview on campus to strike out on his own dream. His dream to become a barber defies societal expectations and biases.
The barbershop has a long history of derogatory implications. A considerable portion of society persists in holding onto an outmoded view of the hairdressing profession, even though it has evolved into one of the most glitzy and lauded occupations.
But Kathir isn’t about to allow the outmoded opinions of society to dictate his actions. As a barber, he promises to prove that he can live a better, richer, and more satisfying life. However, large firms with stakes in this industry pose a serious threat to his entrepreneurial aspirations.
When and Where to Watch?
Singapore Saloon, a family comedy, will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video beginning February 23, 2024.
Tentkotta will reportedly begin streaming the film on February 23 as well. Though, this site only allows users from outside of India to see the movie.

Cast and Crew
Among the actors featured in the film are RJ Balaji (Kathir), Meenakshi Chaudhary (Nila), Lal, Kishen Das, Ann Sheetal, Thalaivasal Vijay, Robo Shankar, Y. G. Mahendran, and Robo Shankar. Jiiva, Arvind Swamy, and Lokesh Kanagaraj will all make brief appearances as well.
Ishari Ganesh produces the film under the Vels Film International label, while Gokul directs it. Both Selva RK and Sukumar contributed to the film’s editing and cinematography. The Vivek Mervin pair composed the soundtrack for the picture.
