New Delhi: The Cricket World Cup 2023 is no less than a festival for Indians. And to add to the enthusiasm of cricket fans, India has marched into its finals as an unbeaten side which will be now facing arch-rival Australia at the finals in Gujrat’s Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.
Meanwhile, several reports claimed that to grace the epic cricket battle, Houdini singer Dua Lipa is all set to perform at the Narendra Modi stadium ahead of the much-awaited clash in the multinational tournament’s finale.
Later, the official broadcaster of Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Starsports confirmed the news via its Twitter handle and informed that the British pop sensation would be performing at the closing ceremony on 20th November at the world’s largest cricket stadium in Gujrat’s Ahmedabad. Sharing a video, Starsports showed a snippet of the segment #AskDuaLipa where cricketers put forward their questions for the 3 times Grammy winner singer.

Chatting with Dua Lipa, Indian skipper KL Rahul asked her which number would she choose for her jersey. To which the singer replied 22. During her chit-chat session with cricketers, Dua Lipa also revealed her favorite song to perform when the New Zealand skipper popped up the question.
The UK singer also revealed that ‘Pretty Please’ and ‘Love Again’ are two of her personal favorites to perform. Notably, this is not the first time when the Levitating singer will be is arriving in India. In November 2019, Dua Lipa toured India for the first time.
CWC 2023’s closing ceremony to get telecasted?
Rejoiced by the news of their favorite pop singer performing at the Cricket World Cup Final, Dua Lipa fans flooded Twitter (X) with different responses. Many fans demanded that the closing ceremony should be broadcast to the audiences who would be watching the finals from their homes. It is noteworthy that cricket fans were left disappointed after the opening ceremony of CWC 2023 wasn’t televised.
Apart from Dua Lipa, PM Narendra Modi himself would attend the last match for the ODI World Cup title at the stadium named after him. As a host country, India is not leaving any stone untouched to make the affair as grand as it can be. From world-famous artists to the Indian Air Force, the closing ceremony would be studded with numerous special performances.
