‘So amazing, so cool…’: ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn wants to work with Jr NTR

Referring to the tiger fight sequence by the actor, Gunn could not recall Jr NTR’s name but said that someday he would like to work with him and added he is “So amazing, so cool.”

New Delhi: Hollywood director James Gunn recently revealed that he wants to work with Telugu actor Jr NTR and also called him ‘amazing’ and ‘cool’. In an interview with News18, Gunn told how he was impressed with the tiger fight sequence in ‘RRR’ and expressed his desire to work with the actor.

Referring to the tiger fight sequence by the actor, Gunn could not recall Jr NTR’s name but said that someday he would like to work with him and added he is “So amazing, so cool.” When asked about the kind of role he would offer the Telugu film star, he replied that he will have to figure that out and it would take some time.

He has previously also expressed his love for SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ and gave his first views on the film last year and tweeted, “I did. Totally dug it.”

James Gunn, who is also the director of Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ series said that the music in the upcoming ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ is inspired by Bollywood films. He said that Indian cinema and Bollywood movies are all about art and entertainment. He added that there are no rules about what a movie has to be and the same is the case with the Guardians movies. He said that they have Indian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese cinemas as a part of who they are.

‘RRR’ earned a lot of international recognition and various Hollywood directors and actors have earlier expressed their desire to work with director Rajamouli and actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film went on to win an Oscar, putting Indian film music on the global stage.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ will hit the theatres on May 5.
