Solo Leveling: ReAwakening OTT Release Date: Here’s when the action filled anime movie drops on streaming sites..

New Delhi: Solo Levelling- which alternatively translates to ‘Only I Level Up’- is a South Korean Web Novel based on the concept of portal fantasy. was written by Chugong. Its serialization began on July 25th, 2016, and was later published by D&C Media under their Papyrus label on November 4, 2016.

A webtoon adaptation of Solo Leveling was first serialized in KakaoPage on March 4, 2018, it was illustrated by Jang Sung-rak (Dubu) and the webtoon’s first season concluded on March 19, 2020, followed by its second season, which was released from August 2020 to December 2021. As of June 2024, Solo Levelling’s chapters were collected and bundled into 11 volumes.

Now the anime is fully set to release a movie- compiling the first season’s episodes- along with a surprise- as it will also feature two new episodes of the still yet to release season 2 which will arrive on streaming sites in January 2025. For the movie, it’s release is scheduled for November 29th, 2024.

Plot

Hunters, human beings blessed with supernatural abilities who must fight against mystical and deadly monsters and beasts for survival, this world is a dangerous one, even more so for Sung Jinwoo, who has been labeled as a ‘notoriously’ weak hunter, his struggle for survival seemingly never-ending.

However, it seems fate has finally given him a chance, as the chosen day comes- after narrowly surviving an overwhelmingly powerful double dungeon that nearly wipes out his entire party, a mysterious program called the System chooses him as its sole player and in turn, gives him the unique ability to level up in strength.

This is something no other hunter possesses because once a hunter is granted a power- it is set, and cannot be ‘leveled up’, however, it seems that Sung Jinwoo is set to defy these so-called ‘rulings’.

Sung Jinwoo’s exceptional talents and power therefore grant him the status of the Shadow Monarch, an immortal Necromancer who has absolute rule over those who are dead. However, Sung Jinwoo is also the only necromancer fighting to save humanity. Therefore, making him the enemy of the other monarchs.
