New Delhi: A mix-up that leads to being gifted with the most extraordinary and powerful magic- perhaps this cheat skill the protagonist Takumi Iruma has acquired may lead him to become the greatest Alchemist of all time. This is the plot of the upcoming fantasy anime series ‘Will be the Greatest Alchemist?’ that arrives on streaming sites on January 8 2025.
“Someday Will I Be The Greatest Alchemist?” is a Japanese light novel series written by Kogitsunemaru and illustrated by Hitogome. A manga adaptation illustrated by Tarō Sasakama began serialization online via AlphaPolis’ manga website in August 2018 and has been collected neatly into seven volumes.
The manga is published digitally in English through Alpha Manga. It has been taken into favorites by numerous anime fans for its Isekai-based plot. It revolves around the popular elements of fantasy and adventure.

Plot
Not even a hero, Takumi Iruma gets accidentally mixed in with a group of heroes. These heroes are to be summoned to another world. To compensate for this mix-up, a goddess offers him to choose any skill he wants to acquire. Takumi goes for the simplest skill. He believes it to be the most boring skill there is.
However, things take a turn for better or worse when Takumi finds out about the skill he picked. It turns out “alchemy” is the most powerful skill! It allows him to create everything from a holy sword to flying ships!
This cheating skill he unexpectedly acquired turns him into a wealthy merchant. It makes him undefeatable in battles, but is this going to continue with great success? The story revolves around the heartwarming journey of a man who was not supposed to end up as powerful and turns into exactly that. Leaving the question of being able to achieve the title of being the greatest alchemist of all time in front of him.
