Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja name their child Vayu, share reason behind choosing this name
Sharing a sweet picture on Instagram, Sonam Kapoor penned a long note in the caption to explain why they have named their son Vayu.
New Delhi: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s son turned one month old on September 20. The couple shared a cute picture with their baby and announced that they have named him Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. The family posed in yellow and the couple also shared the meaning of their child’s name.

Sharing a sweet picture on Instagram, Sonam Kapoor penned a long note in the caption to explain why they have named their son Vayu. Sonam wrote, “In the spirit of the force that has breathed new meaning into our lives…In the spirit of Hanuman and Bheem who embody immense courage and strength…In the spirit of all that is sacred, life-giving and eternally ours, we seek blessings for our son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.” Explaining further, the actor wrote that in the Hindu scriptures Vayu is one of the five elements and is known to be the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem and Madhav. She also wrote that Vayu is a symbol and the essence of life.
Sonam also took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of the cake, which was brought to celebrate Vayu’s one-month anniversary. It was a Boss Baby-themed cake and had ’30 days of love’ and ‘happy one month’ written on it.
The couple welcomed their first son on August 20 and took on social media to make the announcement. Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonam was last seen in ‘The Zoya Factor’ alongside Dulquer Salmaan. She is set to make her comeback in films ‘Blind’ starring Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey. The film is a remake of a Korean movie with the same title.
