New Delhi: As movies from South India take centrestage in piquing public interest and helping the industry make quick strong bucks, a lot many of them are now making way to the OTT platforms. Kantara is the most talked about & loved movie that locked its streaming on Amazon Prime Videos. Other platforms like Disney Plus Hotstar, Netflix and Sony LIV also have many flicks slated for release this week.

Below are the talked about South movies which are releasing on the OTT platform this week.

1) Kantara

Rishab Shetty starrer movie was made at a minimal cost of Rs 15 crore but it has turned out to be a real money-spinner. The movie set cash registers ringing not just at the Box office but also globally. Today, it’s global earnings have surpassed Rs 400 crore in less than 2 months. The Kannada blockbuster also released on Amazon Prime Video yesterday and the OTT subscribers can now watch the movie even at home. The film’s roaring success prompted makers to release it in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages.

2) Prince

Prince is a movie from the rom-com genre, promising loads of entertainment. Starring Anudeep, Sivakarthikeyan’s, the movie captures the equation between Indian man & a British woman as they fall in love. The movie released in theatres last month & it will have OTT debut on November 25 on Disney + Hotstar.

3) 4 years

4 years4 years is bringing to the screen the popular ‘wink girl’Priya Varrier and will see starring Sarjano Khalid opposite her. Directed by Ranjith Sankar, the Malayalam film will be available for public from November 25.

4) Coffee


The film, helmed by a new director Sai Krishna, is about a sister who goes to extremes searching for her lost brother apparently in web of corruption & web trafficking. The film will hit the televisions directly on Colors Tamil channel on November 27.
