1. Yashoda

Samantha’s most awaited sci-fi thriller is here! The film has created a lot of buzz since the teaser release which showed the protagonist as a pregnant woman, involved in many action sequences. The film is written and directed by K Hari Shankar and Haresh Narayan. ‘Yashoda’ stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the titular role with Unni Mukundar, Varalaxami Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma and others.

The film was released on December 9 on Amazon Prime Video.

2. Monsoon Raaga

S Ravindranath has brought a coming-of-age love story beginning at school. The Kannada film stars Achyuth Kumar, Suhasini, Rachita Ram and Dhananjaya. The film follows a romantic journey from a schoolboy crush to a bachelor’s office romance.

3. Parole

Written and directed by Dwarakh Raja, ‘Parole’ is a story of two brothers where the younger one tries to bring his elder brother out on parole to perform their mother’s last rites. The Tamil film features Kalpika Ganesh, Linga, Rskarthiik, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan and others.

4. Urvasivo Rakshasivo

Urvasivo Rakshasivo is a modern take on urban love stories and is directed by Rakesh Sashi. The Telugu rom-com stars Allu Sirish and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles while the film also features Vennela Kishore and Sunil.

5. Roy

Written and directed by Sunil Ibrahim, ‘Roy’ revolves around a thrilling story about relationships where the protagonist’s wife goes missing following clues from dreams. The film stars Shine Tom Chako, Sija Bose and Jinse Baskar.
