‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ unveils the release date of the show; know when and where to watch

New Delhi: The much-anticipated release of the reality show Squid Game: The Challenge on Netflix has finally arrived. The debut date for the reality show adaptation of the smash 2021 Korean drama Squid Game has been set.

The firm said on Friday that the competition, which will have 456 entrants vying for a total prize pool of $4.56 million, would premiere in November.

An earlier announcement made by Netflix detailed their intentions for a future reality programme that would be like the trials that participants encounter in the Squid Game original series. The programme will have many evictions taking place at the same time so that it remains exciting and suspenseful just like the original Drama series.

The reality programme will showcase the candidates competing against one another in games that are similar to those seen in Squid Game as well as other games that are brand unique to the show.

In the meantime, Studio Lamber received outrage when rumours surfaced that competitors on Squid Game: The Challenge required medical treatment due to cold and exhaustion symptoms while shooting in the United Kingdom. Variety reports that the competitors did not get any compensation for their time on the programme.

The 2021 Korean drama series Squid Game, which is based on a survival game and was directed by Hwang Dong Hyuk, stars Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Jung Ho Yeon, and Anupam Tripathi who appeared in various player roles.
