New Delhi: Almost after 19 days after arrest of Aryan Khan in the Cordelia cruise drug case, his father and superstar Shahrukh Khan visited Arthur road jail to meet him on Thursday. SRK visit came on a day when the Covid-19 guidelines were relaxed in the state, facilitating physical meeting with jail inmates.
A video has been going on the internet which shows mediapersons encircling him for a soundbyte or rather a reaction on what he had to say on Aryan’s arrest & trial in the rave party raid case.
As the video circulated, a couple of Bollywood celebs took to Twitter to express their angst and unhappiness with the media for ‘insensitive’ reporting. Celebs like Hansal Mehta, Sonu Sood, Swara Bhaskar, and Pooja Bhatt along with others criticised the ‘inhumane’ act by the camerapersons & scribes.
Criticising the reporters, Hansal Mehta tweeted, “Being a celebrity, being a star, being from ‘Bollywood’ means your emotion, your torment and your concern as a father become a matter of public consumption, heartless abuse and ruthless judgement.”

Without naming anyone, Sonu Sood slammed the media saying, “Kisi ki bhavnao ke peeche camera lekar daudne se pehle yaad rakhna, ishwar ka camera aap par focus lagae baitha hai. Kyuki har khabar khabar nahi hoti (Before you run after someone’s feelings with a camera in hand, remember God’s camera is focused on you. Not every news is the news).”

While Pooja Bhatt shared a video of SRK being mobbed by reporters and wrote, “Dear members of the press. I know times are tougher than ever & there is immense pressure on you’ll from your respective employers to grab a byte even if it means compromising your own health & safety but how do you’ll explain this pack like behaviour to your own children?Tragic.”

Even the fans praised his calmness among the chaos outside the jail premises. One of the fans said, “Even during this senseless melee of the paparazzi, look at the poise of Shah Rukh @iamsrk. What a brave gentleman, this guy – doesn’t deserve this heartbreak at all,” while another said, “I am surprised how he entered the vehicle without rushing, with being in complete control.”
Cordelia cruise was raided by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2 for alleged consumption & supply of narcotics in the rave party. On October 3, Aryan Khan along with six others were detained by the anti-drug agency. So far, 20 people including two Nigerians have been arrested.
