SRK reveals why he went bald in Jawan, hopes ‘girls like him’ in this look

Shah Rukh Khan confessed that he opted for the bald look in the movie out of laziness. He explained that it was never part of the script.

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawan” hit theaters on September 7 and is currently a huge success. When the first trailer of the film was released, fans and audiences were surprised to see Shah Rukh sporting a bald look. One scene in particular, where he danced to the retro song “Beqarar Karke,” became a viral meme on social media. People who have already watched the film have praised this scene for Shah Rukh’s excellent performance and the introduction of his girl gang. In a recent interview, the actor discussed his decision to go bald for this memorable role.

Shah Rukh Khan was interviewed by IMDb, where he was asked about his reaction when he learned that he would have to go bald for the movie. Shah Rukh stated that he chose the bald look because it was more convenient as it saved him two hours of make-up. During the interview, Shah Rukh also shared how some of his friends reacted to his bald look when they saw him in the movie’s promotional material.

In the movie “Jawan,” Shah Rukh Khan’s character initially wears makeup to portray a bald Metro hijacker. Later in the film, he opts for the same bald look while dealing with Sanjay Dutt’s character after stealing voting machines. During an interview, Shah Rukh expressed his preference for playing anti-heroes over traditional heroes. He found playing heroes to be boring because they only do good and nice things. To bring more depth to his portrayal of a good character, he enjoyed exploring the dark, villainous side in order to appreciate and give more gusto to his heroic roles. Shah Rukh personally enjoys playing the bad guy and finds it more exciting and fulfilling.
