The King of Bollywood is in a ruthless race with himself after receiving nominations for Best Actor (male lead role) for both Jawan and Dunki. Along with making waves all year long, the superstar’s two biggest hits, Pathaan and Jawan, have earned him a Best Film nomination at the 69th Filmfare Awards.

SRK had a five-year hiatus from the film industry, but his triumphant return with Pathaan was well-received by audiences and ultimately led to the actor’s three consecutive box-office smash. The 69th Filmfare Awards have nominated SRK’s second and third films, Jawan and Dunki, for the same reason. Now, his three biggest hits, Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, have all received nominations.

The Nominations
Both Jawan and Dunki earned Shah Rukh nominations for Best Actor. In addition to being nominated for Best Actor, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki has also been nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Vicky Kaushal). Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, was also nominated for Best Director. The films – Jawan (helmed by Atlee) and Pathaan (starring Siddharth Anand) are both nominated for best director. Peeking at the categories the celebrity will win in, and for which films, is something worth doing now. In this manner, SRK will be competing against himself at the awards show.

SRK’s efforts in the films Pathaan and Jawan have totalled an astounding 2600 crores, representing a significant boost to the revenues of Bollywood.
