Speaking on Nida Yasir’s popular chat show Shan-e-Noor, Abbas recalled the days when he started working in the Indian movie industry & named several big Bollywood movies that were offered to him.

New Delhi: Popular Pakistani actor Imran Abbas recently shocked the fans by making a number of revelations regarding his acting career in the Indian film industry.

Speaking on Nida Yasir’s popular chat show Shan-e-Noor, Abbas recalled the days when he started working in the Indian movie industry & named several big Bollywood movies that were offered to him by renowned directors like Mahesh Bhatt, Rajkumar Hirani, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Speaking on rejecting huge Bollywood movies in the past, Imran, in the interview, said that when he looks back at his acting career, there are flicks like Aashiqui and Ram Leela, Guzaarish which he left despite being asked to be a part of.

He further disclosed saying no to the role of the late actor Shushant Singh Rajpoot’s iconic role of Sarfaraz which he played in Aamir Khan’s 2013 blockbuster PK.

Imran Abbas on Aashiqui 2

Later in the conversation, the 44-year-old actor also called Mahesh Bhatt’s Aashiqui 2 the biggest movie he rejected in his life. He said, “Aashiqui 2 Sabse bada project tha. Ab toh har koi keh raha hota hai ki mujhe bhi Aashiqui offer huyi, aap Mahesh Bhatt se jake pooch lijiye that the only official offer made by the director Mohit Suri and the producer, wo sirf mujhe hi unhone ki this.

“Lekin log mujhe ehsaas dilane ki kosish karte hai ki ye kya kar diya, wo toh itni badi film thi aur kaunsi film kar ke aa gaye, wo itni hit nahi huyi. Bhai please aap mujhe depress karne ki kosish na karein, main nahi hounga”, added the actor.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Abbas was last seen on the big screen alongside Simi Chahal in Thaparr’s latest Punjabi romantic drama Jee Ve Sohneya Jee.  The film, produced by, was released in the theaters on 16 February under the banner of U & I Films and VH Entertainment.
