New Delhi: Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, the highly anticipated new chapter in the saga, is about to launch, and fans can look forward to an enthralling journey into the galaxy’s shadowy underbelly. Dave Filoni developed the animated anthology series Star Wars. Six brief segments introducing new Star Wars characters make up each instalment.
Earlier, Tales of the Jedi focused on Jedi from the time before the prequel trilogy, while the current – Tales of the Empire delves into people associated with the Galactic Empire. Production credits go to Lucasfilm Animation, where Charles Murray serves as executive writer and Filoni as director of the series.
In May of 2022, Filoni made public the first official information on the Star Wars series. The animated, written, and melodic aspects of Tales of the Jedi were highly praised upon its October 26, 2022, release on Disney Plus Hotstar. A year after its announcement in April 2023, the title of the second instalment—Tales of the Empire—was revealed.
Plot
Motivated by Count Dooku’s downfall in Tales of the Jedi, Tales of the Empire takes influence from that story. The young Morgan Elsbeth, who has lost everything, finds her way through the growing Imperial world on a mission of revenge in this narrative, while the former Jedi Barriss Offee does what it takes to stay alive in a galaxy that is changing at a dizzying rate.
Set in two distinct eras of Star Wars history, the show follows the adventures of Morgan Elsbeth from her beginnings during The Clone Wars when she faces up against the mighty General Grievous, and Barriss Offee in the aftermath of the Republic’s downfall.
The trailer showed how Morgan Elsbeth became powerful and how Barriss Offee became evil.
When and Where to Watch?
Starting May 4, 2024, fans of Disney Plus Hotstar will be able to watch the latest season of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire.
There will be a total of six episodes in the series, and each one will probably be about fifteen to twenty minutes long.

Cast
Voice actors from both the animation and live-action Star Wars films are returning to the cast of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire. Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) and Barriss Offee (Meredith Salenger) are back for another round. Several well-known voice actors have joined the cast, including Lars Mikkelsen’s return as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Returning from their legendary roles are Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn, Jason Isaacs as the Grand Inquisitor, Matthew Wood as General Grievous, and Rya Kihlstedt as Lyn, the Fourth Sister.
