Suga’s solo album ‘D-Day’ surpasses 1 million sales on Hanteo on day 1

After Jimin’s ‘FACE’, ‘D-Day’ has become only the second album to cross one million sales on day 1 on Hanteo.

New Delhi: BTS’ Suga dropped his first solo album ‘D-Day by Agust D’ and it has crossed the one million sales mark on Hanteo. After Jimin’s ‘FACE’, ‘D-Day’ has become only the second album to cross one million sales on day 1 on Hanteo. Suga’s album also surpassed ‘FACE’ and has recorded 1,071,649 and still counting.

The album was released on April 21, with the music video for the lead single ‘Haegeum’. The lead single follows two versions of Suga, where he is a cop and also a gangster.

Suga has collaborated with various Korean artists for the album, including BTS’ J-Hope for the song ‘Huh?!’. The album also features Woosung of The Rose and Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto.

As Suga and Jimin stand on the top of day 1 album sales, ARMY trended ‘BTS vs BTS’ as no other artist has ever surpassed a million sales on the day of release. Fans also poured in their love for Suga and ‘Haegeum’.

Suga will also release his documentary ‘Suga: Road to D-Day’, which tracks his journey across the globe where he meets artists and gets inspired to create the album. The documentary reveals the process behind ‘D-Day’ and also features global artists like Halsey and Anderson Paak. The documentary will stream on Disney+ Hotstar.

His tour, SUGA | Agust Tour ‘D-Day’ will begin on April 26 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York as he becomes the first member of BTS to go for a solo world tour.
