New Delhi: Sushmita Sen, an actress, posted an extensive note commemorating her 29th year from her win as Miss Universe. Sushmita took to Instagram on Sunday morning to post a monochromatic photo of herself taken nearly three decades ago. Sushmita peered at the camera with her hands on each side of her face in the closeup shot.
“This image is precisely 29 years old, taken by the legendary man & photographer Prabuddha Dasgupta,” Sushmita remarked. He nicely captured an 18-year-old me in the rawness of this photograph… He remarked with a smile, “You realise you’re the first Miss Universe I’ve ever shot…” “It’s INDIA’S FIRST EVER MISS UNIVERSE,” I proudly said.

“The honour of representing and conquering for my Motherland is an achievement so profound that it brings me to tears of happiness even today… 29 years later!!!” she said. I commemorate and recall this day with great pleasure since, as history shows, INDIA won Miss Universe for the very first time ever on May 21, 1994 in Manila, Philippines.”
“Thank you all for the love, goodness, and the most beautiful messages,” Sushmita said in her note. Always remembered!!! “I adore you two!!!!” She also included the hashtags “happy 29th anniversary, Miss Universe 1994, India, yours truly, and dugga dugga.” Sushmita fought against women from 77 nations to become the first Indian woman to win the Miss Universe title in 1994.
