New Delhi: Swara Bhasker, a Bollywood actress, recently married Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Fahad Ahmad in Delhi. Social media has been flooded with videos and photographs of Swara and Fahad’s week-long celebrations.
On Saturday, a video of Swara’s bidaai went viral on Twitter.
The Raanjhanaa actress is seen standing near her mother Ira Bhasker and husband Fahad in the video. Swara appears to become emotional whenever someone reads a poem.
The actress is seen leaving her parental home and saying bye to her family members in a pink lehenga and gold jewellery. Swara’s friend first posted the clip on Twitter.

Swara’s father, C Uday Bhasker, responded to the video by writing, “@sinjini m…, thank you for sharing this poignant ‘moment’ as the Swara Bhasker wedding came to an end. Yes… the ‘gruff’ Commodore had good reason to stay out of frame… this is an emotionally charged moment even for a ‘khadus (rude)’ dad… our dear @ReallySwara’s ‘bidai’.”

Swara and Fahad’s pre-wedding celebrations began after Holi 2023. It began with the Haldi ceremony and continued with mehendi, Folk musical night, qawwalli night, and a banquet attended by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Swara stated in February 2023, in a video replaying their love story, that she met Fahad while in an anti-CAA protest against the BJP government led by PM Modi.
They started out as friends, but their shared interests drew them closer until they actually realised they were in love.
Swara and Fahad filed their court marriage papers in January 2023, but the two kept their relationship a secret until the legalities were completed.
Meanwhile, Swara is putting the finishing touches on her next feature film, Mrs. Falani.
