New Delhi: Tamil actress Pauline Jessiaca, also known by popular name Divya allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her rented flat in Chennai on September 18, reports said.
The popular actor was found hanging her flat in Virugambakkam Mallika Avenue in Chennai. She is a native of Andhra Pradesh.
She played many roles in various Tamil movies & TV serials and was last seen in the lead role in recently released Tamil movie ‘Vaidha’.
The news of her death was broken by her neighbours who informed the Koyambedu Police after they got to know of dead body. A team of police officials reached spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
The cops are yet to find any clues but say that they are investigating the alleged suicide of the actor. CCTV footage of her apartment and the adjoining buildings are being scanned to get some clues.
According to reports, Pauline was last seen in an auto-rickshaw which came to drop her at apartment, a day before the alleged suicide. The cops are also trying to find out whether she killed self or it happened because of some provocation.
A suicide note has also been recovered from actor’s possession and is likely to drop enough hints for police investigation.
In the suicide letter, she reportedly blamed ‘failed relationship’ as the reason behind taking the extreme step.
