New Delhi: Renowned Tamil actor Meena’s husband and businessman Vidyasagar died in a private hospital on Monday night in Chennai. He was reportedly suffering from severe lung infection.
Vidyasagar was undergoing treatment for the infection in a hospital in Tamil Nadu for the last several months.
Meena’s friend and actor turned politician Sarath Kumar took to his Twitter handle and shared the news about Vidyasagar’s untimely demise. Sharing a family picture of Meena with her husband and daughter, Kumar wrote, “It is shocking to hear the news of the untimely demise of Actor Meena’s husband Vidyasagar, our family’s heartfelt condolences to Meena and the near and dear of her family, may his soul rest in peace”.

On learning of the unfortunate instance, many from the South film industry expressed condolences to the actress and her family in the difficult time.
Expressing her grief to Meena’s loss, Khushbu Sundar tweeted, “Waking up to a terrible news. Heartbroken to learn actor Meena’s husband, Sagar, is no more with us. He was battling lung ailment for long. Heart goes out to Meena n her young daughter. Life is cruel. At loss of words to express grief. Deepest condolences to the family”.

For the unversed, Meena and Vidyasagar had tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in year 2009 in Chennai.
