‘Terminator and DDLJ are not same…’: Nani shares hilarious reply to user comparing his ‘Dasara’ to ‘Pushpa’

Audiences have been comparing the film to Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ due to the similarity in the looks of the protagonists.

New Delhi: Nani did a fun #AskNani session on Twitter ahead of his Telugu film Dasara’s release. Audiences have been comparing the film to Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ due to the similarity in the looks of the protagonists. The actor addressed the issue and gave a hilarious response to a Twitter user comparing the two films.

A Twitter user asked Nani how ‘Dasara’ is different from ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Rangasthalam’, while the user also mentioned that people in North India are finding the film close to ‘KGF’. Replying to the question, the actor wrote ‘Terminator’ and ‘DDLJ’ are not the same just because Shah Rukh Khan and Arnold Schwarzenegger wore leather jackets.

While ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Dasara’ might seem similar in the protagonist’s looks, the film looked similar to Yash’s ‘KGF’ in the technique of cinematography and locations of filming. While ‘KGF’ was set in gold mines, ‘Dasara’ is set in coal mines. But, Nani has given a reply to the audience by comparing his film to other hit films.

The film follows Dharani in the backdrop of Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani in Telangana. Nani described the film as ‘raw and rustic’. Directed by debutant Odella Srikanth, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Sai Kumar and Shine Tom Chacko.

The trailer of the film showed Dharani and the villagers as alcohol addicts and they have to battle it out for their rights. ‘Dasara’ is an action-thriller that features a lot of blood. The film will release in cinemas in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, on March 30.
