
New Delhi: South Indian superstars Naga Chaitanya & diva Sai Pallavi are set to grace the big screens with their much-awaited upcoming movie Thandel.
Expected to arrive in theaters by the fall of 2024, the flicker has already generated a massive buzz among fans who are going gaga over its recently revealed Behind-The-Scene pictures and videos.
Meanwhile, acclaimed Trade analyst Ramesh Bala has shared yet another major update about the Chandoo Mondeti directorial film, stirring a wave of excitement amongst the masses.
Thandel OTT Streaming Platform Locked
According to Ramesh Bala, Netflix has acquired Thandel’s digital rights before its theatrical release for a whopping price. The OTT gaint has spent a huge sum of Rs 40 crore to rake in the streaming rights of Naga’s promising entertainer in several Indian languages including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam Tamil, and Kannada.
This makes it obvious that after a few months of concluding its Box Office journey, the movie will premiere on Netflix, giving a wider range of audiences a chance to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes. However, a subscription to Netflix’s plan will be required to access the film on the digital platform.

Inspired by a real-life incident that unfolded in 2018, Thandel’s plot circles the lives of fishermen from Srikakulam who end up in Pakistani Coast Guard’s custody after their boats drift off India’s marine time border to get into the Pakistani waters. What happens next and how they make it back safely to their homes is the remaining story of the movie.
While the actioner’s official release date is yet to be disclosed by the makers, reports suggest that it can make its way to cinemas by 20th December 2024.
