New Delhi: Newly wedded Swara Bhasker received a sweet birthday wish from her husband Fahad Ahmad as he called her his ‘bhai’. The actor turned 35 and Fahad took to Twitter to share an unseen picture of them and penned a heartwarming note for his wife. The picture shows the couple in dim light where Swara can be seen posing with sunglasses on while Fahad smiles candidly.
Penning the birthday wish, Fahad wrote that he listened to her suggestion on his birthday. He thanked Swara for ‘completing him in all aspects’ and expressed gratitude to have her as his friend and mentor. In the postscript (PS), he mentioned that ‘bhai’ is gender-neutral.

By calling Swara his ‘bhai’, he indirectly took a dig at the people who called out Swara for referring to Fahad as ‘bhai’ in an older tweet, after which she clarified that they address each other like that in a loving fashion.
The couple tied the knot and held their wedding festivities in Delhi last month. The festivities were attended by close friends and family while political leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
Swara announced their marriage to Fahad on social media in February 2023 with a video montage and wrote about finding friendship in search of love. They met during the anti-CAA protests back in 2020 as both of them are politically active and voice their opinions and Fahad is a leader in the Samajwadi Party.
