New Delhi: On March 27, 2024, Netflix will debut the Thai criminal drama series The Believers.
The Believers, directed by the promising young Thai filmmaker Jax Wattanapong Wongwan, raises an important issue of the blurring of lines between faith and deception in religious organizations, particularly when it comes to contributions.
Without meaning to offend anyone’s religious beliefs, the filmmaker uses the individuals and their tales to try to uncover the truth about the matter.
Plot
Three young, driven entrepreneurs in this drama uncover an unbelievable chance to profit off people’s religious beliefs. They are trying to pay off a pile of debt from their failing company and stumble onto this idea.
Deer is in charge of public relations and graphics design, Win is a former computer engineering student who handles marketing, and Game is a daring and enthusiastic adolescent who provides ideas and money. They end up with a huge debt of THB 25 million that has to be repaid twice as quickly as their ideas fizzle out. Game is brutally beat up by the loan sharks; as he’s healing in his room, an idea hits him.
They start by enticing a monk into their business by engaging in underhanded dealings as they seize control of the only Phummaram Temple.
With the passage of time and the friends’ growing fortune, however, chaos ensues, and the three of them find themselves implicated in a murder they did not commit.

Netflix has announced the premiere date of The Believers. The series begins streaming on March 27, 2024 and takes place against the beautiful and tranquil background of Thailand’s natural landscape, and charming temples.

Playing the key parts in The Believers are the brilliant Peach Pachara Chirathivat (Game), Ally Achiraya Nitibhon (Deer), and James Teeradon Supapunpinyo (Win). Along with Petch Paophet Charoensook, it features Pup Patchai Pakdeesusuk and Tik Channarong Khantheethao.
The series’ storyline was written by Aumm Aummaraporn Phandintong and Lee Jiraporn Saelee, and it was directed by Jax Wattanapong Wongwan.
